King of Talk Boy Abunda is being speculated to finally return to GMA after his stints in ABS-CBN for many years.

Tito Boy started his career in the entertainment industry on the Kapuso network. Later on, he transferred to the Kapamilya network. However, early this year, rumors surfaced that the seasoned TV host is set to go back to GMA.

In an interview last November, Tito Boy admitted that negotiations were being made between his camp and different TV networks. It means that he was not just talking to GMA.

As early as October, rumors circulated that GMA was already preparing a show for him. The seasoned TV host has expressed that he wants to go back to television. Amid the pandemic, Boy Abunda also ventured into digital platforms, especially since ABS-CBN was not able to renew its franchise.

Although he has begun adapting to this kind of setup. Tito Boy still wants to feel the ambiance of doing a show on TV.

On December 7, rumors about his network transfer took a higher notch. It is because of the teaser that GMA shared on Instagram. The art card said, “Abangan. A Showbiz Icon’s Homecoming.”

In the caption of the post, this was written: “Handa na BA ang lahat para sa HOMECOMING ng isang SHOWBIZ Icon? [winking face emoji] Abangan ang kanyang pagbabalik sa GMA coming soon!” It can be noticed that “BA” was in capital letters, which happened to be the initials of Boy Abunda’s name.

The word “abangan” was the popular line of Tito Boy in his defunct showbiz talk show The Buzz when the next item was being teased. In the comment section of the said post, many netizens expressed their guesses. Many think that it was for Boy Abunda’s return to GMA.
