John Amores Revealed He Still Dreams to Play in PBA Despite Controversy
Former Jose Rizal University (JRU) Heavy Bombers player John Amores admitted he still dreams to play in Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
Following the punching incident that happened during the game between the CSB Blazers and the JRU Heavy Bombers, Amores finally spoke after remaining silent for days. In an exclusive interview with Playitright TV, Amores spoke about what happened during their play against College of Saint Benilde on November 8.
Even though he is facing significant accusations and issues, he claims that Amores still thinks there is hope for him. Quinito Henson urged Amores not to give up on his basketball career throughout the interview.
This is despite his dismissal from the JRU Heavy Bombers due to punching by the players of St. Benilde Blazers. All athletes, in Amores’ opinion, aspire to play in the PBA, but for the time being, he will put his attention on getting better.
“Siguro naman po lahat ng basketball player na nasa kalagayan ko, pangarap na makarating sa PBA, and syempre naman po, kung ano po yung pwede kong maitulong sa team, yun na lang po,” said Amores.
“Kung mas maging better na tao na lang po muna ako siguro muna siguro na trabahuhin ko po yung sarili ko na mas maging better,” he said.
Additionally, he pleaded with the public to refrain from criticizing his family, claiming that it was all his fault. Amores also disclosed in the interview that he would be permitted to resume his studies while receiving counseling after nine days. He also went to St. Benilde to apologize to the team.
