Herlene Budol continues to soar high
Beauty queen-actress Herlene Budol said that her brain is “patay-gutom” and here is the reason why she said this.
It is known to many that Herlene came from a humble beginning and she is not ashamed of her roots. From aspiring to provide for her family financially, Herlene has now become an inspiration to many people who also want to be successful.
Although her Miss Planet International 2022 stint did not push through, the Kapuso star is still happy and thankful because of the overwhelming support she receives from Filipinos.
Before she went to Uganda for the supposed international pageant stint, Herlene Budol was asked during the send-off event for her about the reason why a lot of people are supporting her.
“Di ko po alam. Siguro ano yun, yung pagiging unique ko sa sarili ko. Yun yung pagiging pagpapakatotoo ko sa sarili ko na ipinapakita ko, na hindi ako nagfi-filter ng kung sino yung pagkatao ko, kung saan ako nagmula,” the beauty queen said.
She added that probably, most people who help her can relate to what she went through and she thinks that this arouses people’s curiosity.
Herlene also talked about her desire to improve herself when it comes to the mental aspect. She calls herself “bob0” but is someone who is willing to learn. She also said that her brain is “patay-gutom” that wants to be fed with knowledge.
“Kasi para sa akin, ang bobo, yung willing matuto. Yun ako. So proud akong tawagin akong bobo kasi patay-gutom yung utak ko na makakuha ng knowledge ng ibang tao. ‘Tapos i-feed ko din sa iba, kumbaga cycle iyan e,” Herlene Budol shared.
She also shared that one of the things she learned in pageantry is to act like a beauty queen, from her walk to the poise that she should display in front of the public.
