There are several Filipino families living in other countries and they just go home to the Philippines for important events. Usually, the main reason is that the parents are working in other countries.
Usually, they go home for vacations and reunions with their other family members and this brings beautiful memories that they can carry with them back abroad. However, for the Rosario family, what was supposed to be a happy vacation in the Philippines turned out to be a tragic event.
Based on a report on GMA News, couple Julius and Jennae Rosario went home from Washington, USA with their twin kids. It was the first time of the kids to visit the Philippines.
The family celebrated the birthday of the twins in Paoay, Ilocos Norte. However, unexpectedly, one of the boys drowned.
According to Jennae, 3-year-old boy Ezra possibly did not think that the side of the pool where he jumped is deep because it is connected to the kiddie pool. The boy jumped in a five-feet pool.
Based on the report, Ezra was rushed to the hospital. Because of the insufficient equipment of the hospital in the place, he was airlifted to Manila.
The 3-year-old boy fought for his life in the hospital for several days. He was declared brain dead. According to Jennae, it seemed automatic on the part of the parents to just let their child rest. She stressed that it is hard and she does not wish for anybody to go through what they did.
Julius and Jennae decided to donate the organs of Ezra. He is the youngest organ donor in the country as to Human Organization Effort of National Kidney and Transplant Institute. Seven (7) people may see again with the cornea of the boy and one (1) person may be a recipient of his kidney.
