Former Jose Rizal University (JRU) player John Amores speaks up following the raging incident against the College of St Benilde players.

Amores finally spoke out after days of silence following the punching incident that occurred during the game between the CSB Blazers and the JRU Heavy Bombers. Amores gave Playitright TV an exclusive interview where they discussed what transpired during their play versus College of Saint Benilde on November 8.

Amores addressed the crowd and promised to get better. He expressed regret for his conduct to the basketball supporters, College of Saint Benilde, Jose Rizal University, and the Philippine National Collegiate Athletic Association.

“Humihingi ako ng paumanhin at tawad sa inyo sa mga aking nagawa, sa aking inasal,” Amores said. “Humihingi ako ng pasensya sa inyo.. sa mga fans sorry sa aking nagawa, sana mabago ko ‘yung sarili ko at maipakita sa inyo na sino itong tao na ito na kailangan kong baguhin ang sarili ko, ipapakita ko sa kanila na mas kaya kong maging better at maging maayos sa sarili ko,” said Amores. in an interview.

“Humihingi ako sa inyo ng pasensya and sana ma-appreciate niyo ‘yung paghingi ko ng pasensya. Hindi naman niyo ako kagad mapapatawad pero kahit paunti-unti ay mapatawad niyo ako,” he added.

Additionally, he pleaded with the public to refrain from criticizing his family, claiming that it was all his fault. Amores also disclosed that he would be permitted to resume his studies while receiving counseling after nine days.

“Ang gagawin ko po is tapusin ‘yung counseling, community service at kailangan ko rin pong mag-umpisa sa una. Tatapusin ko muna lahat ng nakapatong sa aking balikat kasama na po ‘yung kaso nga po, para makapagsimula po ako ng maayos kasi po para sa’kin po mas mahirap mag-umpisa na may nakapatong sa balikat ko na problema,” Amores stated.
