PANDESAL – A male customer goes viral online for describing the size of pandesal worth P4 as “PANDE-MUNCHKINS?”
Over the past few months, the inflation or rising cost of basic commodities and other products becomes one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in different regions all around the world.
Inflation causes a big problem among Filipino people especially those who were earning a minimum wage or less. The increasing prices of petroleum products cause a domino effect on other products.
Several establishments did not impose an additional charge on their products but adjusted the price of their products.
Recently, a Facebook user named Rio Ruivivar shared photos of pandesal as small as a “Munchkin” he bought for P4. The post circulates online and elicits reactions from the netizens.
In the photos, it can be seen that the pandesal bread is smaller compared to the usual pandesal being sold over the past few years. He bought the tiny pandesal for P4 per piece and described it as small as munchkins.
“Ganito na pala ang pandesal ngayon naging munchkin na jusko po. Hahaha!,” Ruivivar said.
Ruivivar gets shocked after he saw the size of pandesal bread. The latter revealed that the pandesal he bought last is much bigger compared to the recent one.
“[Nung nakita ko], nagulat po at natawa kasi ang cute nya, Triple nito yung size last week. Suki kami ng bakery na yun kaya gulat na gulat ako,” Ruivivar added.
