Sam Milby Discusses His Return To Music
SAM MILBY – Actor-singer Sam Milby reflects on his career in music and why now was the time to return.
Sam Milby is a Fil-Am actor, model musician, recording artist, and businessman. From being just another Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate, Sam has outdone even his own popularity thanks to his sold-out concerts, Platinum albums, top-rated TV soaps (including Maging Sino Ka Man with John Lloyd Cruz, Anne Curtis, and Bea Alonzo, which launched his career as a dramatic tv actor), blockbuster movies, and big product endorsements.
His worldwide fan base is devoted and strong, and it is made up of numerous fan organizations that range from the Philippines to other nations.
In his latest interview with PUSH, Sam Milby admitted that he enjoys acting and being an actor in Kapamilya network tv series but he did not deny that he is also looking for his first love which is music.
“My first love talaga is music and I feel that… Kasi minsan, kapag nasa taping na medyo nai-stress ako I will just play with my guitar and medyo stress reliever yung music. So I feel that’s still my core, that’s still my passion…”
“With acting, I’ve learned to love it also. I think it depends on the role that I’m playing, kung mas nai-enjoy ko talaga yung role… I don’t know. But right now, I will say na mas naka-focus ako sa acting,” he added.

According to Sam Milby, he seems to have forgotten and neglected his musical side, but he hopes that he can focus on it again, especially since his girlfriend, Catriona Gray, also loves music. “Medyo nakalimutan ko na yung musical side ko and I wanna bring it back ngayong may time na ako. And especially si Cat, musically inclined din siya, so I’d like to do some collabs with her and make some music with her,” he said.
Since he really missed performing, the 38-year-old celebrity is very thankful that he was able to do concerts in other countries these past few months.
“Since the pandemic happened kasi walang masyadong shows. But it’s still been a better year, siyempre kasi nagkaroon kami ng dalawang tour sa States – Canada tour with Cat and US tour with Piolo (Pascual). And mabuti naman na bumabalik na yung mga events and stuff like that…”
“But me personally, I feel like I’ve lost my musical side. I haven’t been singing as much as I want to be. I haven’t playing guitar as much as I want to be.
“Ngayong may time na ako gusto kong bumalik sa pagiging musician,” Sam promised himself.
Based on the report, Sam Milby also has his own music studio and is also said to be studying music productions. “I helped produce an albums. I’d like to help upcoming artists also. I have a little studio so kung may mga demo songs na gustong i-record or mga friends na gustong mag-record ng something for like concerts I do that. But I’m still learning in terms of music production,” Sam shared.
