This is what Sam Milby said about the rumors of leaving the Kapamilya network.

SAM MILBY – Kapamilya actor and singer, Sam Milby clarifies rumors about him transferring to another network.

On July 10, 2020, the ABS-CBN network officially shut down. Despite no violation, 70 lawmakers rejected the franchise renewal bid which forced the network to find other ways to remain connected with their loyal viewers.

They evacuated to digital platforms and channels and it seems like they are doing well. They continued serving the Filipino people, as their tagline says, despite not being on free television.

The space they left in free TV was filled in by another channel called ALLTV, a network owned by billionaire Manny Villar. Most of the stars of this new network were former artists of ABS-CBN.

Since the shutdown, many celebrities have already left the network and some did not renew their contracts. But a portion has stayed loyal which included Sam Milby, an actor and singer.

Recently, he revealed that he has received offers from other networks, one, in particular, is the Kapuso network.

The rumors about having offers were true but they did not progress because of his existing contract with his home network. He was a bit hesitant talking about matters like this but added, “hangga’t kaya, I would not want to leave.”

“Because ABS is the one who made me and where I am, and I appreciate it, you know, changed my life. As long as I can stay with them, as long as they need me, I will stay,” he said based on a report from PEP.

He is also looking after his network currently suffering from a lack of a franchise and a canceled partnership with TV5. However, what he likes about his network, apart from it is surviving, it also offers great and quality projects.

And as for those who left, he expressed understanding because work is work after all. What is important according to him is that they left without any bad blood and without burning bridges.
