Robin Padilla Shares He Becomes Senator by Singing ‘Wonderful Tonight’ to Voters
Senator Robinhood ‘Robin’ Padilla claimed that singing the famous song of Eric Clapton ‘Wonderful Tonight’ made him win the elections.
The Viva Project’s 41st Anniversary centerpiece, the unveiling of the Wall of Fame, was attended by the senator. Boss Vic del Rosario, who has done a lot and changed Padilla’s life from then till today, was thanked by Padilla.
Even though he was exhausted from Roxas City, Boss Vic went directly to Robin at the Viva office in Ortigas, Pasig City, because she was close to his heart and because he owed her a debt of gratitude. The event attendees made a big deal out of Robin when he arrived, and everyone wanted a photo with him.
Naturally, Boss Vic conveyed his love and respect to the Senator. He introduced the top senator of the Philippines alongside Robin. Robin addressed Boss Vic as “father” and “the sultan.”
“Siya ang kumuha sa akin, ang nagbigay ng break. Noong araw kontrabida lang ako, pero si Boss Vic ang naniwala sa akin, na puwede raw akong bida. Sabi ko, ‘Boss, hindi naman ako pogi, eh.’ Sabi niya, ‘Hindi kailangan ang pogi, ang kailangan may dating!” said Robin.
“Kaya kahit nasaan ako, kahit galing pa ako ng Visayas, kapag si Boss Vic ang nagpatawag, kahit na pagod, tumatakbo po, darating ako para sa iyo!” Robin said.
Robin also discussed Boss Vic’s contribution to the campaign. He claims that he has no intention of running for senator, but that former president Rodrigo Duterte instructed him to do so, based on the report. Robin also mentioned that he visited Viva and asked Boss Vic for advice.
“Sabi ko, “Boss, paano ba gagawin ko? Kailangan kong manalo, ayoko namang matalo.’ Isa lang ang sabi ni Boss Vic, ‘huwag kang magpanggap na politiko. Kailangan ipakita mo ang tunay na Robin Padilla. Walang kaplastikan. Wag kang magpaka-matalino. Ipakita mo lang talaga na ang puso mo ay nasa pelikula.
“Kaya ayun po, wala akong ginawa kundi ang kumanta lang. Tinalo silang lahat dahil sa Wonderful Tonigh!” At ngayon, I feel wonderful tonight!” said Robin, who was greeted with loud applause, cheers.
Boss Vic is merely solace since, in addition to Wonderful Tonight, Sharon Cuneta, Vina Morales, and Kris Aquino’s support are also very helpful. Robin already cut off Boss Vic, who was preparing to add more women to assist Robin.
