See Roberta Tamondong’s Emotional Reaction After Receiving Expensive Gift From Thai Fans
ROBERTA TAMONDONG – Miss Grand International 5th runner-up Roberta Tamondong got emotional after receiving iPad and cash gifts from her Thai fans.
Filipino actress, model, and beauty pageant titleholder Roberta Angela “Ro-An” Santos Tamondong is a veteran of national and international pageants. In 2020, she became the first Pinay to win the Miss Eco Teen International title.
Roberta represented the country at the Miss Grand International 2022 competition. The competition took place on October 25, 2022, in the Sentul International Convention Center in Bogor Regency, West Java Province, Indonesia.
Isabella Menin, a representative of Brazil, won the Miss Grand International 2022 crown. Roberta Tamondong finished her MGl journey in the Top 20. Earlier this month, the MGI organization named Roberta as the new 5th runner-up following Mauritius’ Yuvna Rinishta’s controversial “resignation.”
The 20-year-old Pinay beauty queen also gained fans in Thailand. Just recently, her Thai fans gave her an iPad and cash gifts.

Roberta Tamondong was overwhelmed with emotions after feeling the affection of her Thai fans. Roberta is shown in a TikTok video on November 10, 2022, crying with happiness after receiving a brand-new iPad Air (5th generation) and an Apple Pencil as a present from fans. The video was published by @unofficialphcrown.
Along with the money garland sash and bouquet of flowers, Roberta also received a gift of THB 12,000 (or roughly PHP 19,000). Aside from these presents, her fans also prepared snacks and drinks for the Miss Grand International crew and her makeup artists.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph via FB, Tamondong was overwhelmed with gratitude. She said, “I just couldn’t believe it in my eyes na they surprised me with these gifts.”
“Aside from this they also gave support food for the staff and makeup artist before the show started.
“I am just completely overwhelmed with all of this because I wouldn’t even imagine them giving me these expensive gifts.”
“They’re just so generous and sweet. I love them so much.”
“That’s why umiyak ako. It’s just too much for me to contain my emotions. Napaka-generous talaga nila,” she added.
On November 9, 2022, Roberta Tamondong’s Thai fans surprised her at the Swissotel Bangkok Ratchada following her official coronation as the 5th runner-up in the Miss Grand International competition.
