What’s Catriona Gray’s reaction to Roberta Tamondong’s Performance at Miss Grand International Pageant
CATRIONA GRAY – Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray reacted to Roberta Tamondong’s performance at Miss Grand International 2022 pageant.
Roberta Tamondong is a veteran of national and international pageants. She became the first Pinay woman to have won the Miss Eco Teen International crown in 2020.
The 20-year-old actress-model represented the country during the Miss Grand International 2022 pageant. The competition was held on 25 October 2022 at Sentul International Convention Center in Bogor Regency of West Java province, Indonesia.
Roberta Tamondong finished her MGl journey as part of the Top 20. Brazil’s rep Isabella Menin won the said beauty pageant.
Just recently, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray reacted to Roberta’s performance at the Thailand-based beauty pageant. She noted that the Pinay beauty queen “deserved so much better” in the competition.

Catriona Gray stated this as she made a comment on a clip of Roberta Tomandong during the MGI’s coronation night. On Tuesday, October 25, Titas of Pageantry, a fan page for beauty pageants, posted the video on its Instagram page.
“She deserved so much better, performed [so] well. I’m so proud,” Cat said.
Roberta Tomandong then replied and thanked Catriona whom she addressed as her “ate.” She wrote, “aww thank you ate Cat!”
In a previous article, the Miss Grand International has lost almost 2 million Instagram followers after the coronation night. Based on the comments on the pageant’s Instagram account, Vietnamese fans largely unfollowed the account after Miss Grand Vietnam Doan Thien An failed to enter the Top 10. Filipino pageant fans were also saddened because Roberta only made it to the Top 20.
