The suspect appears to have suffered significant injuries. The person hitting him appeared to have just thrown away his knife. According to Vigan Police Station deputy chief Police Major Darwin Julian, it’s as though he didn’t intend to stab the individual. The victim’s relative is resolved to bring a lawsuit, in the meanwhile.

Based on the report, the suspect’s relative declined to provide a statement; the suspect will be taken to the Department of Social Welfare and Development because he is a child. The incident was highly denounced by the school administration.

He can be fired, in accordance with Edith Bagcal, the principal of ISNHS, because that is an attempted murder, she said. He did that even though he was in grade 9 and a young youngster. Bagcal stated that they would look into it and increase the level of security at the institution.

“Puwede na siyang ma-dismiss dahil isa na ‘yan attempted murder. Ang ginawa niyang ‘yun, ang bata niya eh, grade 9, pero nagawa niya ‘yun. We condemn that kind of isolated case. We will do our best to keep our learners safe,” Bagcal said.
