Later, Aaron Carter’s career came to a standstill, and in recent years, he had run into legal issues and opened out about his difficulties with addiction. He released “Love,” his first album in about 15 years, in 2018, to lukewarm reviews.

According to an online biography, Carter started performing when he was seven years old, singing lead for the band Dead End for two years.

He performed solo for the first time at age 9 as the Backstreet Boys’ opening act in Berlin. Nick Carter, who was his older brother, was a member.

After opening for Britney Spears, his performance resulted in a record deal and the publication of his debut single, “Crush on You.” The singer also acted in the television shows “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” and “7th Heaven.”
