Joshua is playing the love interest of the character of Darna in the series, played by Jane de Leon. Just recently, the actor became a trending topic on social media with Janella Salvador who plays the villain role Valentina.

Joshua’s character Brian has a bad side and this was attached to the villain role of Janella. Their intimate scene became viral on social media as netizens expressed various reactions to this. Memes and funny posts were also created out of this.

Just recently, Joshua Garcia caught the attention of the online community once again. It is because many netizens expressed what they noticed about his character Brian. They think that Joshua’s character has more exposure than Darna.

One netizen even joked that the title should be replaced with “Mars Ravelo’s Brian” because just recently, the story was focused on the male lead character. In line with this issue, Darna’s Head of Production, Julie Anne R. Benitez answered.

She pointed out that Brian is an integral part of the story. Benitez also said that she has been receiving positive feedback about Joshua’s character. She also called out the netizen who expressed this thought with an inappropriate word online.

In another tweet, the production head of the Kapamilya series slammed the netizen who said that it is a flop. “If Darna is a flop, then, why are you watching?” Benitez said, adding that this kind of reaction is still a promotion for the series.
