This is what Kathryn Bernardo said about their series that is ending soon.
KATHRYN BERNARDO – “2 Good 2 Be True” lead actors Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla speak about the show’s ending.
The country’s top love team KathNiel comprised of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla are starring in “2 Good 2 Be True”. This is their second series aired amid the pandemic. The first one was the House Arrest Of Us.
It started to air last May 16 and the story is loved by many not just because they see KathNiel but because of the story itself. In a previous article, the superstar actress shared that the story is also one of the reasons why she accepted this project.
KathNiel has a different kind of maturity in this series, a result of their constant and conscious effort to improve their craft in every project they do. They are Ali and Eloy in 2 Good 2 Be True and just recently, it has been announced that it will conclude in November.
Many of their fans and viewers asked for a second or extension of the series but it seems like impossible.
The lead actors and the directors said that they will rather end it as it was scheduled because of a reason. They want the series special to them to end on a high note rather than stretched but nothing much is happening.
“Kumbaga sa relasyon, parang okay naman kayo, masaya kayo and all. Why end something good? But then, ‘diba, maganda naman na you end with a bang and on a high note, rather than i-stretch mo nang i-stretch tapos mararamdaman din ng audience,” director Mae Cruz Alviar explained during the conference.
Kathryn also spoke and said that they have committed 130 episodes only to Netflix which is why they cannot extend anymore. As much as they would want to have it extended, they cannot no matter how good the series is. After all, every story must end according to her.
“The viewers now are very smart so alam nila ‘pag pinilit mo na lang, ‘pag pinapahaba mo na lang for the sake of filling the episodes. I think, ito, ‘yung 130 is enough, kasi nakita ‘yung journey ng lahat ng characters. Nakita ‘yung flashback, nakita ‘yung mga backstory and all na tinahi sa story ng present time,” she added based on a report from ABS-CBN.
The series also holds a special place in her heart. She finds it hard to let go as well but assured the people that they will give them an “ending done right”.
Padilla, on the other hand, echoed his girlfriend’s thoughts about feeling surreal now that their series’ ending is coming near. He’s thankful for the experience and something he did that did not stress them too much.
