Atom Araullo caught netizens’ attention with these tweets
Kapuso journalist Atom Araullo made clarifications about the real meaning of his name contrary to the speculations.
Atom, although he is in a news and public affairs department, still has popularity like what many celebrities have. He is being admired not just because of his talent in presenting meaningful documentaries that have touched the lives of many people but also because of his looks.
In his recent series of tweets, Atom slammed the speculations of other people about his name. He said that there is no truth to the theory that his name is an acronym.
“Utang na loob, itigil niyo na yung teoryang ipinangalan ako sa August Twenty One Movement o ATOM,” Atom Araullo said. He also explained that he was born in 1982 while former Senator Ninoy Aquino died on August 21, 1983.
With this, Atom quipped that his age is already revealed. He also clarified that his name is a combination of his two grandfathers. “Ang Atom po ay kumbinasyon ng Alfonso at Tomas, na pangalan ng dalawa kong Lolong astig,” the Kapuso journalist said.
Obviously, he is exasperated by those who believe the “theory” that he has a secret political agenda. “Never thought I’d need to explain this, but here we are. #Disinformation is real. Learning poverty is real. Anyway, sana masarap ang mga ulam ninyo ngayon,” the journalist stressed.
In the last part of his tweet, Atom Araullo said in jest that the reason behind this might be the desire of the people to make him reveal his age. “Shucks baka ang agenda lang pala nila ipa age reveal ako. I’ve been played! Curses!” he said.
Meanwhile, Atom Araullo slammed just recently those who are associating his mother with rebel groups. The Kapuso journalist directly debunked the speculation.
