Snatcher Arrested for Stealing the Bag of Ex-Actress Hazel Espinosa in Quezon City
Police authorities arrested a snatcher after stealing the bag of ex-actress Erica Davantes also known as Hazel Espinosa in Quezon City.
The bag of a former actress was allegedly taken by a man on Thursday night, October 20, in Barangay Laging Handa, Quezon City, according to members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD). Abdul Mohammad Bocua, 30, a resident of Barangay Holy Spirit, Quebec, was named as the suspect.
The woman was putting her possessions in the back of a car in front of a clinic on Scout Tuazon Street in Barangay Holy Spirit, according to Lt. Col. Robert Amoranto, head of QCPD Kamuning Station (PS 10). The suspect on a motorcycle allegedly snatched her bag.
The alleged assailant ran to Roces Avenue. CCTV footage of the theft incident was obtained. It is evident that Davantes made an effort to pursue the criminal suspect. Subsequently, the victim reported the incident to Brgy. Laging Handa and later reported to Police Station 10.
According to Davantes, the suspect was located in Brgy using her daughter’s cell phone. Quezon City’s Holy Spirit. The suspect was promptly taken into custody at his home as a result of a follow-up operation, based on the report.
The purse of the former actress was found to include two telephones, an iPad mini, a stone-encrusted gold ring, an ID, business transaction receipts, and a few keys. He will be charged with robbery in relation to R.A. 11235 or An Act Preventing and Penalizing the Use of Motorcycles in the Commission of Crimes.
