Carabao Goes Viral after Rescuing SUV Vehicle Stuck on a Deep Mud
A video of a farm animal Carabao pulling out a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) after being stuck in mud goes viral on social media.
Carabao or Kalabaw is a domestic swamp-type water buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) endemic to the Philippines. This animal is regarded as the best friend of the Filipino farmer in the rice field or on their farm.
The carabao, which is regarded as the Philippine national animal, is a symbol of the Filipinos’ hard work and perseverance. They are the animals that are chosen to work in fields before the emergence of technology because of their heavy build.
Meanwhile, a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) that is bogged in deep mud is helped by the farm animal in a video posted on the Visor Facebook page. The SUV’s driver can be seen struggling to free his car from the mud, based on the video.
The local residents took the initiative to tie a towing strap to the car and the carabao. When pulling the car out of the mud in the video, the Carabao does his best and uses a lot of force.
The Carabao pull the truck out from a close distance on the first pull. The powerful animal successfully pulls the car with a single-turbo 2.0-liter engine producing 170 horsepower- out of the muck on another attempt.
The video has gone viral on social media and earned various reactions from netizens. The strength of the powerful beast astounded the online community. Some people even quip that horsepower pales in comparison to “carabao power.”
