Collapsing Wawa Bridge Actual Video Elicits Comments
The actual video footage of collapsing Wawa Bridge in Bayambang, Pangasinan goes viral after it was posted online.
Nowadays, road accident has been one of the most common traffic problems not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world. It usually causes injuries and even death to the victims.
The government should also maintain the roads and bridges for a smoother flow of traffic and prevent accidents along the road.
On Thursday (October 20, 2022), a portion of the Carlos P. Romulo Bridge, which is also known as the Wawa Bridge in Bayambang, Pangasinan suddenly collapsed for an unknown reason.
The incident injures four people and damaged two trucks. The authorities immediately rescued the victims and brought them to the hospital. The victims were now in good condition.
“Inaabisuhan ang lahat ng papunta o daraan sa Bayambang mula sa Camiling na dumaan sa alternate route. Nakikiusap ang Lokal na Pamahalaan na huwag munang pumunta o lumapit sa tulay para sa inyong kaligtasan”, Bayambang Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao said.
Quiambao said that two trucks were crossing the bridge when it suddenly collapsed. The bridge connects the towns of Wawa and San Vicente.
A Facebook user named Maxie Niverba Menor Jr. has shared the actual video of the incident. The video quickly circulates online and garnered various reactions from social media users.

The city mayor has also advised motorists to take alternate routes and temporarily avoid passing through Bayambang from Camiling, Tarlac in the meantime. Quiambao is already working with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
