Yasmien Kurdi had this unforgettable experience on a set
Kapuso actress Yasmien Kurdi shared that she had a “pinalayas” experience and this was because of Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz.
Yasmien and Bea had the chance to work together in the primetime series Start-Up PH. They played the sibling characters of Dani and Katrina/Ina. In a previous interview, Yasmien revealed that there have been instances in the past when people thought she was Bea because of their similar facial features.
The StarStruck alumna shared that actress/host Donita Rose approached her one time and commended her about her movie. Back then, Yasmien did not do a movie and she just realized that Donita was referring to Bea.
In a recent interview on PEP’s YouTube channel, Yasmien Kurdi was asked about Bea Alonzo as a co-star. She said that the former Kapamilya star is someone who would share stories while they were on the set.
Yasmien also said that Bea would share pieces of advice. “Ma-chika siya, marami siyang kuwento sa’yo,” she said, adding that the Start-Up PH lead actress shares a lot when it comes to life experiences.
Regarding her unforgettable experience with Bea, Yasmien cited the time when she was doing the series Bakekang and they were shooting in Baseco Compound. At that time, Bea and John Lloyd were also shooting for their series Maging Sino Ka Man.
Yasmien was not aware back then that the other channel was also having a shoot there. Since she is familiar with the equipment and things on the set from the companies being commissioned for the shoot, she just went inside a tent that she thought was for her.
“Ako, pasok, latag na ako ng higaan ko lahat. Humihingi na ako ng breakfast ko para makastart na ng day, breakdown, ganito, usual,” the Kapuso actress shared.
However, Yasmien Kurdi was approached by a member of the production said and she was told, “Miss Yas hindi po kayo dito. Set po ito nina Bea at John Lloyd.” Although she was not able to meet Bea at that time, Yasmien said that it was her unforgettable moment with the former Kapamilya star.
She added that she was thankful that Bea was not there during that time because it would be more embarrassing for her.
