Yasmien Kurdi is happy to work with Bea Alonzo
Kapuso actress Yasmien Kurdi shared that there had been several instances when people thought that she is Start-Up PH lead actress Bea Alonzo.
Yasmien rose to fame after joining the first season of Kapuso talent search Starstruck. After that stint, she has given a lot of good opportunities when it comes to her acting career. Her most recent acting stint is a series with Bea Alonzo, Alden Richards, and Jeric Gonzales.
In a recent press conference, based on the article in NewsKo, Yasmien shared that people mistook her for Bea. “Lagi nilang sinasabi kasi, na magkamukha daw kami ni Bea even before pa nung nasa ABS siya,” she shared.
Yasmien shared an instance when former MTV VJ Donita Rose thought that she was Bea. The Kapuso actress said that Donita approached her and said, “Huy I watched your movie!”
With no idea what Donita was talking about, Yasmien Kurdi replied if what movie was that. “Akala niya si Bea ako! At nung time na yun hanggang ngayon, talagang, sabi niya, ‘Sorry talaga akala ko ikaw si Bea.’ Dahil nga sa resemblance namin,” she shared.
Yasmien did not expect that she will have the chance to work with her “look-alike” because before they belong to different TV networks. Now that Bea is in the Kapuso network, Yasmien said that the wish of the fans that they will play as siblings onscreen is finally happening.
“Happy ako na napunta ako sa ganitong set,” Yasmien Kurdi said about working with her Start-Up PH family. She will portray the character of Katrina Sison / Ina Diaz the sister of Danica “Dani” Sison played by Bea Alonzo.
This series that was adapted from the hit K-drama series with the same title is set to premiere on September 26. It is directed by Dominic Zapata and Jerry Lopez Sineneng.
