Joey de Leon once said this on Eat Bulaga
Henyo Master Joey de Leon revealed his favorite comedian during a segment in the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.
Joey is one of the pioneer hosts of the Kapuso noontime show that was previously aired on different channels. Over the years, Joey, along with Tito Sotto and Vic Sotto became part of the daily noontime routine of many Filipino households.
The iconic showbiz trio has given fun and entertainment with their equally funny and talented co-hosts. As years went by, there were already a handful of co-hosts who go in and out of the show. Currently, aside from the trio, Eat Bulaga hosts are Ryan Agoncillo, Allan K, Jose Manalo, Paolo Ballesteros, Wally Bayola, Pauleen Luna, Maine Mendoza, Maja Salvador, and Miles Ocampo who is still “applying” to be part of the show.
Among the co-hosts, one of them is the favorite comedian of Joey de Leon. In a recent Twitter post that the @armainecutie fan account shared, a short video of Joey was featured. In the video, the Henyo Master said that Maine is his favorite comedian.
Appearing that she felt “kilig” to what the veteran comedian said, Maine, with a funny voice said, “Boss Joey” and then laughed. The veteran comedian continued, “At tsaka may ano siya, ESP. Alam niya kung ano ang iniisip ko.”

Meanwhile, this is not the first that Joey de Leon praised Maine Mendoza. In an Instagram post, the Henyo Master shared the meaning of the real name of the Phenomenal Star. Aside from saying that the real name of Maine carries the word comedian twice, he also highlighted the humility that she has despite her success.
Joey is one of the key persons who contributed to the rise of stardom that Maine has when she started in the noontime show through the Kalyeserye segment.
