Paul Salas mentioned this about an ex-girlfriend
Kapuso actor Paul Salas said that he had a “trauma” in his past relationship and it is known to many that his ex-girlfriend is Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial.
In 2018, showbiz write-ups surfaced saying that there was physical abuse that happened in Paul and Barbie’s breakup. For quite some time they became a trending topic on social media and the issues surrounding their separation.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Paul was asked why he decided to keep his relationship with Mikee Quintos private at first.
“Oo nga kasi at first dahil ‘yun ang pinagkukwentuhan namin ni Mikee kasi medyo may trauma ako sa pina-public yung relationship and naintindihan niya naman ‘yun,” Paul Salas said. He and Mikee have been together for almost two years now but it was just recently when they finally announced their relationship.
The actor said that he and Mikee have been dating for a year. “Pa-two years na po actually. One year po kami nag-date, nasa dating stage, then ngayon, ayan,” he said. Although Paul did not mention the name of his ex-girlfriend, it was apparent that he was referring to the controversial breakup he had with Barbie.
On the other hand, the actor said that his trauma was taken care of when Mikee came into his life. Paul shared that at first, his girlfriend’s parents were not in favor of him because of the issues they heard about him.
However, the actor said that he really worked hard to show Mikee’s parents his true intentions. “‘Yun nga eh pero talagang trinabaho ko ‘yun dahil nung una medyo ‘di pa talaga boto sa’kin buong,” he said.
Paul also showed his girlfriend’s parents that he is a very supportive boyfriend with all the endeavors that Mikee is taking right now. He also said that his family is happy about his current relationship.
Paul Salas shared that his dad said that it is the first time there is a girl who really supports him. “Sana ma-grow pa namin ‘yung relationship namin together ni Mikee,” the actor added.
