NBI Arrests Fake LET Examinee in Pagadian City

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The agents from the National Bureau of Investigation arrested a fake LET Examinee in Pagadian City.

NBI personnel arrested a woman who took the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers in Pagadian City. The woman identified as Monaida Dimakaling took the exams using someone’s identity.

According to NBI, Dimakiling took the LET exams last October 2, 2022, but the proctor noticed that she was not the person in the picture attached to the Permanent Examination and Registration Record Card (PERRC) and Notice of Admission (NOA).

Fake LET Examinee

The PERRC and NOA were named to a certain Nazia Dimakaling. Monaida admitted that her younger sister was supposed to take the test and not her. The suspect admitted her mistakes while authorities are investigating the incident that happened at Pagadian National High School Danlugan Campus.

The lady suspect revealed that her sister Nazia told her to take the licensure examinations in behalf of her. Nazia probably wants to ensure that she will pass the exam. The authorities recovered several ID cards that belong to Nazia.

The fake LET examinee will face charges of falsification of official documents in accordance with Article 172 of the Revised Penal Code. Nazia will also face corresponding sanctions and penalties.

Article 172 of the Revised Penal Code is the crime of falsification committed by a private individual who does any of the falsifications described in the next preceding article in any public or official document or letter of exchange or any other kind of commercial document.
