Still Unidentified Person Shot School Principal Inside her Own Home
SCHOOL PRINCIPAL – A principal was shot by a still unidentified person inside her own house in Polangui, Albay.
Unfortunate incidents take place in several areas in the Philippines every day. Some of these incidents are accidents or those that seemed inevitable or were not planned by any of the party involved. Some accidents are due to recklessness.
However, there are also unfortunate incidents that were seemingly-planned in the pursuit to cause harm to another person or group of people. These come with different motives at times – some are personal while others are work-related.
Recently, in Albay, another seemingly-planned incident took place inside the house of a school principal. She was shot by a still unidentified person.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the principal was identified as Beverly Ubante Cabaltera. She is the principal of Pioduran National High School.
Based on the police investigation, the suspect went inside the house of the school principal at 3:00 a.m. in Napoville Subdivision in Barangay Napo. The victim was rushed to the hospital but she was declared dead on arrival. She obtained a wound in the neck.
Based on the report, the family heard a loud sound inside her room followed by a banging sound and when they checked on her, she was found lying near the window of her room. Their neighbors also heard the same.
Currently, investigations regarding the incident are ongoing. The Department of Education (DepEd) Bicol condemns the incident. The education department is also calling the police authorities for an abrupt and thorough investigation of the case to give justice to the death of Cabaltera.
