Atty Leni Robredo Flaunts Achievements of Angat Buhay with 3 Months
Former Vice President Leni Robredo shared the achievements of ‘Angat Buhay’ foundation in the first three months of the second chapter.
The “Angat Buhay” was launched six years ago by Angat Buhay Foundation’s current chairman Atty. Leni Robredo. She stated in a tweet on October 10 that the foundation was established six years ago as their primary anti-poverty initiative.
On June 30, 2022, when she also completed her time in the Office of the Vice President, she claimed that the first chapter came to a close. Along with his resignation on July 1, 2022, Angat Buhay carried on as a “non-governmental organization” (NGO).
“Six years ago, on October 10, 2016, we launched Angat Buhay as our flagship anti-poverty program. The first chapter ended when I finished my term at the Office of the Vice President on June 30, 2022,” she wrote in her post.
“On July 1, 2022, we launched @angatbuhay_ph as an NGO,” she added.
Robredo praised the NGO’s accomplishments in the past three months in another post. They reflect on our accomplishments since July 1 in honor of our sixth anniversary.
116 functioning Community Learning centers with 6,500 students served, Bayanihan e-Konsulta with 3,562 patients aided, and volunteer programs with 57 partner organizations in 22 provinces and seven countries are just a few of the initiatives that Angat Buhay completed. Additionally, 6,370 individuals have visited the Angat Buhay Museum of Hope since it opened on September 20.
“It has been a little over 3 months since the start of Angat Buhay’s new chapter. On the occasion of our 6th Anniversary, we look back on what we’ve achieved since July 1. We look forward to the years ahead with so much more excitement, inspiration, passion, and, above all, hope,” she said.
