Personal Background
Born on January 4, 1977, Ferdinand Hipolito Navarro or publicly known as Vhong Navarro came from a non-showbiz family. His parents are Danilo Navarro and Imelda Hipolito. Not much is known about his family and he managed to keep it private despite his long stay in the show business for several decades now.
Vhong has a son with a non-showbiz woman. Their son is Frederick Vhong Navarro. In 1998, he got married to former actress Bianca Lapus and their marriage was blessed with a son they named, Isaiah or more commonly known as “Yce”. However, the two celebrities broke up in 2008. Two years after, he announced that the court has granted their annulment but they remain good friends who are co-parenting their son.
In 2019, Vhong married his long-time girlfriend, ABS-CBN writer Tanya Bautista. She has never left the side of the actor even when he cheated on her and the incident further led to a mess between him and model Deniece Cornejo.
Showbiz Career
Vhong is a dancer, television host, recording artist, and comedian. He released several studio albums including Totoy Bibo, Don Romantiko, and Chickboy. He also top-billed several movies including Mr. Suave, D’Anothers, Agent X44, Shake Rattle and Roll 14: The Invasion, and Mang Kepweng Returns.
Vhong Navarro Case
Currently, Vhong is detained in the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) due to the sensitive charges filed against him by Deniece Cornejo. Her camp pushed for the transfer of the actor to Taguig City Jail while his motion for his detention to remain in the custody of the NBI was junked by the court.
