2 Police Officers Nabbed for Conniving w/ 2 Civilians to Perform Illegal Activity
Two police officers have been arrested for their alleged involvement at a holdup incident in General Santos City.
PCMS Renante Medina and PMSG Christopher Ararao together with two other civilian suspects were currently under the custody of General Santos City Police Office after victimizing an entrepreneur.
The two civilian suspects have been identified as Edwin Salvador and Winston Jay Ongco. The two were both residents of Davao City, according to the General Santos City Police Office.
According to the investigation, the four suspects broke into the home of the 37-year-old victim identified as Jacky Faeldin. The cops and their colleagues took Faeldin’s valuable, mobile phone and cash worth P165,000.
The lady victim had no choice but to surrender her valuables to the armed suspects. The holdup incident happened at Purok Ondok Gawan in Barangay San Jose, General Santos City.
Faeldin immediately reported the incident to the police authorities. The cops were able to locate and arrest the suspect along the highway of General Santos City. The suspects are supposed to go to Davao City using a gray Hyundai Tucson.
The authorities recovered the stolen items from the suspects including a 5.56 Bushmaster rifle, two .45 caliber pistols, two 9 millimeter pistols, and a rifle grenade projectile.
Medina, Ararao, Salvador, and Ongco have been detained while waiting for charges that will be filed against them.
