Jam Magno Calling Out Atty Leni Robredo Amid Typhoon ‘Karding’ Criticized
Internet personality Jam Magno was criticized online for allegedly calling out former vice president Leni Robredo amid the typhoon ‘Karding’.
A “fake Twitter account” named after Jam Magno has become controversial on social media after it sought out the Atty. Leni Robredo, at the height of typhoon Karding. Netizens on Twitter shared the tweets of an account named Jam Magno (@ItsJamMagno) who has 76.7K Followers but is not a verified account.
The original Jam Magno is still the one that is being dragged, though, and it appears that this is what has the internet’s attention. It can also be read in the comments on the trending hashtag #NasaanAngPangulo due to people’s search for President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.
“Ayan na naman sila, nasaan daw ang pangulo. Naka-ready na po ang ating mga Government Agencies especially NDRRMC, DSWD, PCG, PNP at LGU,” according to the tweet on September 25.
This is where Robredo’s name was mentioned in the tweet that followed the one about the typhoon. Leni was called out on Twitter by a user who claimed she needed to be in the affected are to credit grad and do photo ops.
“So hinahanap ngayon ng mga Kakampanget yung pangulo nilang si Leni. Leni lumabas ka, magparamdam ka, pinaghahanap ka na ng mga junakis mo. Alam kong nag-reready ka nang mag-credit grab at mag-photo ops,” she said.
“Nakalabas na yung bagyo wala pa rin si Leni on the ground, akala ko ba lagi siyang nauuna on the ground? Yan ang lider ng mga Kakampanget puro salita, puro tweet, puro coordinate, walang action kaya ayaw sa kanya ng mga tao,” she added.
Jam Magno already acknowledged and reaffirmed that she is the proprietor of the aforementioned Twitter account in April, at the height of the campaign. The phony account received criticism from online users for inviting Robredo to a debate that had to be held in English.
“Sa totoo lang po, yung fake Twitter account ay hindi na po bago. The fact na you make me trend kahit hindi ko Twitter account, hindi ko na talaga alam kung ano sasabihin ko sa inyo,” Magno said in a video he posted on Facebook.
