Bulacan Gov to Should Funeral Expenses of 5 Rescuers for Their Heroism

The Governor of Bulacan Daniel Fernando will shoulder the funeral expenses of the five (5) rescuers who died amid Typhoon Karding as appreciation for their heroism.

Fernando was saddened to learn that five members of the Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) perished on September 25 while participating in a rescue operation in the town of San Miguel. Fernando stated in his statement that he did not want to have an unpleasant responder while they were working.

Fernando pledged to assist the five-hero family with their financial issues. According to him, they had personally set up all of the necessary things for them, including their funeral services.

Alex Castro, the vice governor, also delivered a speech and vowed to keep his word not to let the five rescuers’ sacrifices go in vain. Along with Fernando’s assistance, the Provincial Government of Bulacan would also give the families of the five rescuers the proper rewards.

George E. Agustin, 45, of Calumpit, Troy Justin P. Agustin, 30, of Sta Rita, Guiguinto, Marby A. Bartolome, 36, of Bulihan, City of Malolos, Jerson L. Resurreccion, 32, of Barangay Catmon, Sta Maria, and Narciso Calayag, of Malolos City, were the five people.
