Several LGUs Declare Class Suspensions in These Areas (September 26) Due to Super Typhoon Karding

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspensions due to the inclement weather brought by Super Typhoon Karding.

After rapidly intensifying on Sunday morning, Typhoon Karding (international name: Noru) has now become a super typhoon, causing state meteorologists to issue Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 5 over Polilio Island in Quezon and Signal No. 3 in eight other regions in Luzon. It is the Philippines’ 11th tropical cyclone for 2022.

In the 5 am advisory of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Karding’s maximum sustained winds further increased to 155 kilometers per hour, from 140 km/h just three hours earlier. Its gustiness is now up to 190 km/h from 170 km/h.

Class Suspensions

Due to the bad weather brought on by Super Typhoon Karding, several local government units have ordered to cancel classes for Monday, September 26, 2022.
