Luis Manzano is expected to transfer to the new network
Actor-host Luis Manzano is negotiating with veteran host Willie Revillame for a show on ALLTV, the new network owned by business tycoon Manny Villar.
Aside from being a host on his game show Wowowin on ALLTV, Willie is also a consultant. He is one of the people who makes decisions when it comes to shows and artists. In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Advanced Media Broadcasting Systems (AMBS) President Maribeth Tolentino, it is expected that more artists will join the new network.
Tolentino said that Randy Santiago, Korina Sanchez, Luis Manzano, Karla Estrada, and Noli “Kabayan” de Castro are expected to join AMBS. Previously, Toni Gonzaga, Paul Soriano, Mariel Rodriguez, and Ciara Sotto joined the new network.
The TV executive shared that Willie already started the negotiation with Luis. “Just like in any business, there’s a process prior to signing a contract. There’s also what we call lawyers’ review, which takes up time. Willie and Luis are already talking as to what programs will be good for Luis to host,” she said.
Tolentino also shared that signing contracts with artists who want to be part of AMBS. She said that there are artists who still have other contracts with other networks while there are some who are ready to transfer but there are still working on the shows that will accommodate them.
The TV executive said that once they have organized the lineup of programs, it will be easy for them to accept talents. Tolentino added that currently, they are accepting pitches from productions.
Meanwhile, Tolentino stressed that there is no need for them to pirate artists from other networks. “The people we hire are those we want to work with and who also want to work with us. ‘Di namin kailangang mamirata,” she said.
