Julia Barretto will have a Kapuso guesting
Kapamilya actress Julia Barretto will appear on the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga on the Kapuso network due to this reason.
Julia has been doing shows and movie projects as a talent of Star Magic, the talent management firm of ABS-CBN. However, in 2020 she signed a contract with Viva Artist Management.
In a recent article in PEP, it was stated that Julia will be in the Kapuso network. She will have a guest appearance on Eat Bulaga and she will be the celebrity player who will play in the popular segment Bawal Judgmental on September 10.
This guesting is part of the promotion of her new movie Expensive Candy with Carlo Aquino. The movie is set to be released in theaters on September 14. On September 5, the red-carpet premiere will happen at Cinema 3 of The Block of SM North Edsa.
Julia’s appearance on the Kapuso show will fulfill the dream of her fans that she will be seen on various shows on GMA just like other Viva artists such as Xian Lim, Marco Gumabao, at Lyca Gairanod who were formerly talents of ABS-CBN.
The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) gave a Rated R-13 rating to Expensive Candy. In a previous interview, Julia Barretto said that this is so far the most vulgar role that she did in a movie. She played the character of a hooker who caught the attention of a high school teacher, played by Carlo Aquino.
The actress shared that this stint had the nod from her mother Marjorie Barretto. When the project was presented to her, Julia told her mom about this and Marjorie said “yes.”
Julia Barretto said that more than the things and the clothes that she wore in the movie for her role, she thought of the importance of the story that it will deliver to the audience. She also said that she has matured an actress and there is no excuse not to do this role and go out of her comfort zone.
