Here’s Reason Why Jaclyn Jose Deleted Her “Retirement Post”

JACLYN JOSE – Veteran actress Jaclyn Jose explained why she deleted her “retirement post.”

Andi Eigenmann’s mom Jaclyn Jose is one of the most accomplished actresses in the country. She made history in 2016 when she won the best actress award at the Cannes Film Festival.

Since signing an exclusive contract with Kapuso Network in 2013, Jaclyn has portrayed various roles in many shows. She made her last appearance in Bolera. She played the role of Kylie Padilla’s mom, Tessa Cerillo-Fajardo.

Jaclyn Jose recently shocked the online community after announcing on her IG page that she’s retiring from acting. She said that it’s painful to for her to leave the industry but she knows that her decision to leave it is the right thing to do.

The veteran actress said that her decision has something to do with her great love for her children Andi Eigenmann and Gwen Garimond. She uploaded her red carpet walk at the GMA Thanksgiving Gala with the instrumental version of “Beautiful Girl” playing in the background.

“I am retiring… marami po salamat,” Jaclyn said.

Lots of netizens have expressed their dismay in the comment section of Jaclyn Jose’s post. They said they will miss seeing her perform while others asked her to take a break instead of retiring.

A few hours later, the multi-awarded actress deleted her viral post. In a message sent to PEP, she explained why she could not retire just yet.

Jaclyn that she made the statement because she believed her contract with GMA had already expired. She added that her road manager had informed her that it wasn’t, which led to the removal of the aforementioned post.

“I wanted to but I still have 2 years contract with GMA. I have to finish my contract. Akala ko, expired na [but] my RM [road manager] told me na hindi pa,” Jaclyn said.

Given how many people reacted to her IG post and their desire for the actress to stay in the entertainment industry, fans will undoubtedly be pleased with this news.
