ELIZA PINEDA AND JOSHUA DIONISIO – Former love team Eliza Pineda and Joshua Dionisio got reunited many years after their memorable Maalaala Mo Kaya project.

“May pa Jenny-Jenny ka pa diyan! Manloloko ka! Bakit mo naman ako niloko? Alam mo namang mahal kita di ba? Binigay ko naman lahat ng gusto mo! Paano mo ba kasi gustong mahalin ka ha?”

These words were just some of the iconic lines Eliza Pineda’s character threw at Joshua Dionisio’s character in an episode in Maalaala M Kaya entitled “Popcorn”. This MMK episode was aired way back in February 2008 and Eliza was playing the role of Katkat who fell in love with Roel, a popcorn seller.

The story tackled young love or puppy love which many people could relate and the episode is one of the most unforgettable episodes of the drama anthology.

And many years after, their pair brought back a lot of feelings when they shared a photo of their reunion. Joshua went to the 27th birthday party of Pineda and the actor’s snapshots with the actress on his Instagram page brought much delight to their fans.

“8.25.2022 literally #throwbackthursday happy birthday @mariaelizapineda,” Joshua posted on social media.

Meanwhile, apart from the MMK episode, they also starred together in the television series Kung Fu Kids in 2008 and Maria Flordeluna back in 2007.

For many years, on the other hand, the actress went on a hiatus to take care of their family business. She also became busy with her studies. She had attempted to return to her showbiz track but the pandemic happened and she lied low again.
