Construction Worker Killed by Gunfire After Son defaults on P1,000 Debt
A construction worker in Cavite has been shot dead after his son reportedly failed to pay his P1, 000 debt.
The 66-year-old victim named Mario Napili of Barangay F. Reyes in General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite passed away after he was shot by the suspect identified as Fahad Datu Sapadas over unpaid debt.
According to the police investigation, the suspect Sapadas went to Napili residence and asked the victim’s 35-year-old son named Marlon to pay his P1, 000 debt. The two have an exchange of heated arguments.
In the middle of the heated argument, Mario intervened and tried to stop the two from their feud. Unfortunately, the suspect pulled out a gun and shoot the victims. Mario suffered gunshot wounds on his stomach, which leads to his untimely death.
The suspect immediately escaped after performing his illegal activity. The police authorities launched a manhunt operation and were able to arrest the suspect, according to Corpuz.
Sapadas will face charges of murder and frustrated murder.
