Kim Atienza recalled the days when he was in the Kapamilya network
Seasoned host Kim Atienza said that he would not be the popular “Kuya Kim” now if not because of ABS-CBN.
After his stint in politics, Kuya Kim became a TV host. He became part of the Kapamilya morning show Umagang Kay Ganda and eventually, he did several hosting stints. However, in 2021, the seasoned TV host decided to transfer to GMA.
Even though he is a Kapuso now, Kuya Kim said that he will never forget the good things that ABS-CBN has given to him. During a recent interview, based on the article in PUSH, Kim Atienza said that he will be forever grateful to the Kapamilya network.
“Kuya Kim will not be Kuya Kim if not because of ABS-CBN. I’ve nothing but gratitude for the 18 years that I spent in ABS-CBN because people would not know Kuya Kim if not for ABS-CBN,” he said, adding that whatever he is now, he is thanking his home network for almost two decades.
Aside from being busy in his showbiz engagements and in doing his role as a husband and father, Kuya Kim is also a health advocate. He is advocating having available cheaper medicine for everyone. He said that as people get older, nutritious foods should be accompanied by supplements. He said that he wants to impart to everyone that staying healthy does not cost that much.
In a previous interview, the Kapuso host shared that he spent a lot on his treatment for his rare condition called Guillain-Barré Syndrome. Kuya Kim said that he had to spend PHP300,000 to PHP500,000 a day and the treatment last for 10 days.
The TV host said that it is a sad situation when people who have this kind of condition could not afford the treatment.
