Soul Diva Jaya and her family faced a devastating incident when their house was burned down and here are the details of what happened.

Last week, the singer shared a photo showing the aftermath of the fire that burned down their house in the U.S. She and her family moved to the States last year. The Soul Diva has been sharing updates of their lives abroad. She has been doing some shows there as well.

A week ago, a devastating incident happened in their lives. Almost their entire house was devoured by fire. In her post, she expressed how thankful she is that all of them are safe. She also shared a post from her husband Gary Gotidoc showing their smiles with their house in the background.

A fundraising campaign was initiated for Jaya and her family. This received warm support from many people who wanted to help the singer to bounce back after that drastic event.

Just recently, the singer shared the details of the devastating fire that was caused by some electrical issues. She said that her husband was able to take control when the fire happened. Her son Gavin also helped a lot. “But lost ALL of his possessions, but miraculously, his BIBLE, wallet & passport were untouched by the fire!” she shared.

The singer said that the fire was so huge but she found it crazy that the 3 bedrooms and some parts of the house were not burned. Because of that, some of the documents, their clothes, and their Bibles weren’t burned as well.

She also shared that firefighters came immediately and their neighbors helped them as well. “With all the chaos and devastation, my mind blocked so much of what happened. But what I do remember was how we as a family coped,” Jaya shared. She saw their kids were afraid but they did not fail to comfort each other and they assured her that they are okay.

The singer also shared how her husband multi-tasked at that time. With this, she expressed how proud she is of her husband. She also thanked all the people who reached out to her during that difficult time.
