How’s Jaya after moving to the States?
Soul Diva Jaya happily shared how she has been since she left the Philippines and started a life in the U.S. with her family.
No doubt that as a singer, the Soul Diva is one of the most successful artists in the country. She already recorded hits that became an icon of the Philippine music industry.
However, amid the pandemic, the soul singer decided to go to States. Jaya, early this year announced this decision. One of the reasons she shared why she decided to leave the country was her mental and physical health.
Although there was a certain fear that she felt, the singer said that it seemed that everything has fallen into place. They were able to move with no major complications.
Based on the article in ABS-CBN, Jaya shared that she has no regret moving to the U.S. “Waley talaga ako regret! They say faith is blind but I went by it. So I trust in Jesus, definitely this is the best decision I’ve ever made!” she said.
The singer also shared that her husband Gary Gotigoc is doing tattoos on the side while waiting for his new job at the Department of Defense. “Dylan (her son) is with his school’s football team while Sab (her daughter) serves in church and is also with her high school band. Gavin (her stepson) just got married and we’re only awaiting his wife Athena to move to the US from the Philippines,” she added.
The singer also stressed that her family is her priority and she will do almost everything for them. Jaya is also more focused now on her health. She was diagnosed with diabetes in 2007. She is managing this health condition through the right diet, exercise, and proper monitoring.
