Rita Avila Slams Basher Who Commented On Post About 'Katips'

Actress Rita Avila slammed a basher who commented on her post featuring the Famas Awards that the musical movie Katips by director-actor Vince Tañada received.

Rita is one of the celebrities who condemns the Marcos regime and the Martial Law era. She showed her support for the movie that featured the struggles of the protesters at that time. Based on the article in Manila Bulletin, the post of the actress received a comment from a netizen.

“Bakit takot i public yung Comment section HAHHAHA kawawa,” the basher commented. The actress shared a screenshot of this with her response to the basher. Rita Avila said that she is not “takot.” She just chose to filter the comments for her own peace of mind.

“Ang tawag doon ay SELF CARE. Kahit anong buti pa ng post ko ay pangit ang nakikita nyo. So bakit ko naman gugustuhin ang comments nyo?” the actress said, adding that she hopes bashers would find the right kind of love and respect from others and to find people who will guide them in doing good.

In her recent Instagram post, she shared an art card of her statement on Katips movie. In the caption of her post, she said that her post that was shared with good intentions was criticized by many people. She said that there were bashers who were consistent in saying that she is crazy because of her doll collections.

“Ang galing ko namang baliw, nakasulat ng children’s books, nakakapagtrabaho ng maayos, at wala sa mental hospital,” Rita said obviously being sarcastic. She said that it seemed that those bashers are the ones who are not in their right minds.

The actress also said that the second negative comment that she would receive is that she is already “laos”. She said that the “laos” is the demeaning comment from bashers because what they say reflects themselves.
