3 People Hit by Mixer Truck that Fell Off Cliff in Benguet
MIXER TRUCK – A concrete mixer vehicle fell off a cliff in Benguet and landed in an area where at least three (3) individuals were working.
Accidents are among the things that happen daily in several areas across the nation. Some of these were due to some reckless actions while others took place beyond the expectation of any of the people involved or unknowingly.
Unfortunately, while some of these unfortunate incidents left no one harmed, there are also those that left properties damaged, people injured, or, worst, lives lost. It also leaves families in grief for the sudden loss of their loved ones.
Recently, in Benguet which is one of the places that draw a lot of tourists in the Philippines, especially during the summer season, an accident involving a cement mixer truck took place. It fell off a cliff.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, a mixer truck fell off a cliff in Benguet while it was traveling the town of Sablan. Unfortunately, there were at least three (3) people in the area where it fell when the accident happened.
Based on the investigation of Sablan Philippine National Police (PNP), the mixer truck fell 10-meter deep and one of those individuals who were working below was a minor. The rescue operation took an hour but the minor was declared dead on the spot.
Two (2) other victims of the accident were injured and are now recovering in the hospital according to the authorities. The investigation is still ongoing. There are still no information as to the possible cause of the vehicle’s falling off the cliff. More updates may be posted soon.
