Actress Ruffa Gutierrez shared a tweet on Tuesday about those students who went to elite universities but their attitudes need to be criticized.
These past few days, the social media posts that Ruffa have been garnering much attention from the online community. It is because of the issue that was raised by former Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon who is now a party list representative.
In her tweets, Guanzon accused Ruffa of throwing her helpers out and not paying their salaries. The actress defended herself and said that she never mistreated her helpers and the situation was different from what Guanzon knew. Ruffa is set to do legal actions regarding this issue.
On social media, the “bardagulan” Ruffa’s mom Annabelle Rama and Guanzon has started. The actress also shared a cryptic post on July 12, her #RuffaThoughts.
“Woke up today realizing that not all students who went to elite universities have manners. May pinag aralan nga, asal kanto naman.Gosh…” she wrote. This received different reactions from netizens. There were those who agreed with her but many also expressed negative reactions.
Some netizens criticized Ruffa for being an educated person but allegedly, she is an enabler of “magnanakaw.” There were also those who said that the actress was referring to the people who have her support now, the Marcoses while some said that the actress is actually talking about herself Here are some of the comments.
On the other hand, there was one netizen who neither agreed nor disagreed with what Ruffa Gutierrez said. “Having attended elite universities does not guarantee good manners. Same goes to those who have not. “Asal kanto” is just a state of mind, a product of one’s perception about how other people do not conform to your standards,” Twitter user @Albertus2Magnus commented.
