Bea Alonzo recalled a scene in a movie she did with John Lloyd Cruz
Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo admitted that she unwittingly used her line in the movie One More Chance to one of her ex-boyfriends.
The said movie was under Star Cinema and was released in 2007. In the movie, Bea gave life to the character of Basha while her leading man John Lloyd Cruz was Popoy.
In a recent interview on Update With Nelson Canlas, based on the article in GMA News Online, Bea Alonzo used a line from her fictional character to what happened to her in real life.
The actress shared that her character Basha was fetched by her boyfriend Popoy when her car broke down.
Popoy was trying to carry the luggage of Basha but she kept on resisting and a fight happened. “I don’t even know kung tama ‘tong ginagawa ko pero ang alam ko kailangan ko nang tapusin ‘to,” Basha said in the movie.
Bea said that she unwittingly said this line, almost the same if not exactly similar, to her ex-boyfriend, the late Mico Palanca.
“I wasn’t really happy in the relationship, shaky ganiyan, tapos parang I actually, without even realizing it, I somehow uttered my line to him,” the Kapuso star shared.
Noticing the similarities to what the real Bea said and the line of Basha, the actress shared that the reaction of Mico was “Parang gumano’n pa siya sa akin, parang, ‘Are you kidding me right now?’ Parang, ‘Dahil ba ‘to sa pelikula mo?’ Parang gano’n.”
However, Bea Alonzo stressed that it was what she felt at that time. She said that perhaps her character in the movie delivered the line with all the needed emotions because it was happening to her in real life back then.
“Most of my characters may parte ng pagkatao ko na kung kailangan kong i-magnify ‘yon for that character I magnify it. But it’s still Bea,” the Kapuso star said.
