Sue Ramirez talked about her showbiz journey
Kapamilya actress Sue Ramirez recalled how she started her career in showbiz when she was just 13 years old.
Over the years, the entertainment industry has been good to Sue. She was given projects that boosted her popularity. Just like many showbiz personalities, Sue also went through the usual audition process.
Based on the article in PEP, it was really Sue Ramirez who decided to enter show business when she was 13. “April 2010 po ito. I was 13 and sabi ko sa mga sisters ko samahan ako para mag-audition. Pumunta kami sa [ABS-CBN] Audience Entrance ng 6 a.m. Hindi ko in-expect na there would be that much people,” the actress shared.
At that time, she had no phone, no money, and she was not allowed to bring a companion. It was just herself with her resume. Sue said that she did not feel hunger and tiredness while waiting for many hours as she was number 697.
Her determination paid off as she had he first TV appearance on Shoutout, a teen music variety show aired on ABS-CBN from 2010 to 2011. Although she was not earning a big amount of money, Sue was still happy that she helped her mother in their financial needs.
Back then, he father was already sick and their mother became the breadwinner. In 2013, Sue’s father died and this made her think of quitting showbiz.
“Sabi ko sa sarili ko, kapag hindi na ako binigyan ng ABS ng project, baka mag-aral na lang ako ulit. Hindi ako nawalan ng project. Dirediretso po talaga,” the actress shared.
Because of this, Sue Ramirez is thankful that she can provide for her family while enjoying what she loves to do.
The most recent project that she did was the teleserye The Broken Marriage Vow with Jodi Sta. Maria and Zanjoe Marudo.
