Pres. Duterte Expressed Hopes on Marcos Jr. Administration
DUTERTE – Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte spoke of the incoming administration of president-elect Bongbong Marcos.
The term of the current administration is set to conclude on June 30. President-elect Bongbong Marcos Jr. will take his oath as the 17th President of the Republic of the Philippines at the Philippine National Museum. Massive preparations for his inauguration are now ongoing.
Previously, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte has expressed that he is ready to leave Malacañang. Prior to the Elections 2022, he expressed his excitement to be the outgoing president. His administration focused on the drug and corruption problems in the country.
Several drug personalities were nabbed under the current administration. A lot of erring government employees and officials who were linked to corrupt practices were also sacked.
The outgoing President has previously expressed his hope that the next administration will continue the war against drugs. Aside from the country’s drug and corruption problem, the Duterte administration also gave a priority to the “Build, Build, Build” project.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte recently reiterated his hope for the incoming administration under president-elect Bongbong Marcos. During an event in Davao City, the outgoing Chief Executive expressed his hope that the next administration will continue the government projects that make the Filipino people happy.
Meanwhile, the President said that it is up to his allies in the Senate to push for the continuation of the programs under the next administration. According to him, although not all of the current programs will be continued, but he hopes that the people will get to see what is done with the public funds.
According to the outgoing President, he “tried his best to provide for all”. He also noted his attempt to provide houses to all sectors of the community.
