Sara Duterte and PRRD don’t usually talk about work
Vice President-elect Sara Duterte revealed that the usual conversation she has with her father outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte is about “chismis.”
On June 19, the inauguration of the incoming Vice President was held in Davao City. Both her parents were present and gave her support. The event was also attended by incoming President Bongbong Marcos and his family. Several prominent political figures and celebrities attended the event as well.
After the inauguration, VP-elect Sara Duterte faced the media. One of the questions that was asked to her was about asking her father’s advice for her new position in the government. She said that they don’t discuss about work and matters about their professions.
The outgoing Davao City Mayor also said that they don’t talk about politics and her father has already said about this publicly before. Inday Sara stressed that her relationship with PRRD is very normal and their usual conversation is about “chismis,” based on UNTV’s report.
“Kapag nagkikita kami, usually pinag-uusapan namin, ah, mga chismis sa family members, mga chismis sa paligid, ganyan yung, very normal ang relationship naming,” the incoming Vice President said.
Previously, Inday Sara shared that it has been a long time since the last time she and her father talked but during the interview, she shared the short conversation she had with PRRD during the inauguration. “Sinabihan ko lang siya, ‘salamat Pa,’ he said, ‘goodluck,’” she shared.
Meanwhile, VP-elect Sara Duterte said that she will continue to live in Davao City despite her work will be in Metro Manila. As the Vice President of the Philippines, her office will in Quezon City Reception House while as the Department of Education Secretary she will be working at the central office of the agency in Pasig City.
