Netizens shared various reactions to these wacky photos of Vice President-elect Sara Duterte with Senator Bato dela Rosa.
Sen. Dela Rosa is a known ally of President Rodrigo Duterte, the father of Inday Sara. The lawmaker has been very supportive of Inday Sara’s candidacy and he was also present during her inauguration as the 15th Vice President of the Philippines.
The event was held in Davao City where Inday Sara served as Mayor for two terms. Initially, she intended to go for re-election but she opted to be the running mate of President-elect Bongbong Marcos.
In a Facebook post of Sen. Bato dela Rosa, he shared the description he has for VP-elect Sara Duterte. “She can punch, she can be unforgiving but she can be funny,” the lawmaker wrote and did no mistake about this as the outgoing Davao City Mayor did some wacky pose.
This garnered different reactions from netizens. There were those who agreed that indeed, Inday Sara is a tough leader but still her humor will always be there. Some netizens took notice of the closeness that the Senator and the VP-elect have because of these wacky photos.
Meanwhile, in her speech, the presidential daughter said that when she was young, she had a different dream for herself. She thought of becoming a doctor but fate led her to become a lawyer. Eventually, she became a public servant.
Inday Sara also said that she intended to finish her three terms as a Mayor but that will not happen anymore because she is now the Vice President.
“The voice of 32.2 million Filipinos was loud and clear, with the message to serve our motherland. And this message has been reiterated in my oath: to consecrate myself to the service of the nation,” she said. Before ending her speech, VP-elect Sara Duterte said that she may not be the most efficient and smartest person in the whole world but no one can beat the strength of her heart as a Filipino.
