Tom Rodriguez Says “Divorce Decree” w/ Carla Abella “Final”
TOM RODRIGUEZ – Through his manager, the Kapuso actor released a statement regarding his “divorce” with estranged wife, Carla Abellana.
Among the celebrity couples who have been in a girlfriend-boyfriend relationship for several years before they officially tied the knot are Kapuso stars Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana. They were in a relationship for seven (7) years before they got married last October 2021.
It was an intimate and beautiful wedding ceremony held at San Juan Nepomuceno Parish Church in Batangas. Both families of the couple and their closest friends including several celebrities in showbiz graced the event.
However, around two (2) months after their wedding, rumors that Tom and Carla‘s marriage are on the rocks crossed the surface. The TomCar supporters hoped they were not true.
However, several hints continued to fuel the rumors. Carla recently broke her silence and claimed that she was cheated on and betrayed by Tom. She stressed that what she gave her estranged husband for seven years that they were together were all love, care, patience, understanding, and forgiveness.
Recently, through his manager, Tom Rodriguez broke his silence on his marriage with Carla Abellana. In a statement posted by Popoy Caritativo, the Kapuso actor said that his divorce decree with the actress is “final”.
According to Tom, he flew to the United States to be with his family last March 13 with the realization that Carla has already given up on their marriage despite all his efforts. He stressed that many things were said about him but it is only him and the actress “who know the truth”.
Tom also stressed that he and Carla know how much they loved each other and he may not be a perfect partner but he never laid a hand on her. He also confirmed that he lost all his money to someone who allegedly took advantage of his “gullibility”. According to him, he has accepted the decision of Carla to move forward and it will be a painful and lonely path for him but he has his family as his support system.
Tom Rodriguez also said that he truly wishes for the happiness of Carla Abellana. He thanked the GMA-7, his manager Popoy, and “Tita Joji” for the understanding they have extended in a statement posted by Popoy on Instagram.
