AUV Accidentally Hits Van Being Repaired by Auto-Mechanic
KASIBU, NUEVA VIZCAYA – An auto-mechanic passes away after AUC accidentally hits the van he is trying to repair in Nueva Vizcaya.
Nowadays, road accident has been one of the most common traffic problems not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world. It usually causes injuries and even death to the victims.
The traffic authorities are implementing stricter rules and regulations to prevent such incidents but accidents still happen due to reckless motorists.
An auto mechanic identified as Benjie Tul-o of Barangay Binugawan in Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya has passed away after an AUV accidentally rammed the van he is fixing. He is fixing the problem underneath the vehicle.
According to the police investigation, the AUV driver fell asleep and accidentally hits the van, which leads to the untimely death of the auto mechanic. The residents lift the van to rescue the helpless victim.
“Nakaidlip daw kaya nabunggo niya ‘yung van kasalukuyang kinukumpuni ni Benjie Tul-o. ‘Yung van ay nag-move forward kung saan naipit ‘yung biktima,” Kasibu Police Station Chief Investigator PSMS Prudencio Domingo said.
The victim has been rushed to the nearest hospital for immediate medical care and treatment but the latter eventually died. The mechanic reportedly suffered a serious head injury, which resulted in his untimely death.
“Nadaganan ‘yung sa may singit niya tsaka sa may dibdib saka sa ulo, may crack daw,” Domingo added.
The AUV driver has been arrested and is currently detained under the custody of the police authorities. The victim’s family has yet to give a statement regarding the incident.
