Bonna Ambay, Lady Pawnshop Manager Found Dead Inside Shop
ILOILO CITY, Philippines – A lady pawnshop manager in Kalibo, Aklan has been found dead inside of the store with several stab wounds.
The 23-year-old female manager identified as Bonna Ambay of a pawnshop in Kalibo, Aklan, was found dead inside the store. Her lifeless body has been found around 9:00 am on Monday morning (June 6, 2022).
The security guard of RD Pawnshop located along Mabini Street in Barangay Poblacion reported that he noticed something wrong upon opening the shop’s roll-up door. The secondary gate was already open while the roll-up door was still closed.
The guard entered the establishment and was shocked after he saw the victim’s lifeless body on the floor. He found a pair of black slippers, handcuffs, towel, coin purse, handbag, and knife near the victim’s body.
The police authorities also found a security guard’s uniform with the initials Torrefiel MA and believe that 31-year-old Mark Archie Torrefiel was the suspect. However, the operatives will still determine the uniform’s owner.
The pawnshop has already released a statement and revealed nothing was missing from the shop and the vault was unscathed. The cops will still determine the suspect’s motive.
